Weird dream
We were at a car shop. We had some sort of Chevy SUV, fairly new. It was the same size inside as our minivan, but the outside was more blocky. The hubcaps looked very 80s, but the rest seemed contemporary.

The battery had died, and while trying to figure it out, Erica found out we had CAS. I don't remember what it meant, but basically it was a red box with a handle. It had some small jumper wires, and an AC plug, and a connector to a spare battery.

I was pretty impressed that she even knew we had it, because I didn't. She said she found out on the Internet. OF COURSE!

Anyway, so the car shop was getting busy, and whatever problem was "fixed" so we just had to drive home and let the battery charge.

We got home, and I tried to configure the CAS battery to charge too. I found a cigarette lighter adapter to plug it into, rather than the 2-wire terminal on the console.

Then, there was a tiny wisp of smoke or fumes or hydrogen vapor or something from the charging. I wasn't sure, but it didn't seem or smell right. I couldn't obviously figure out the problem, or even how to safely disconnect everything.

The kids were sleeping in the seats and I needed to get them out of the vehicle. I had a lot of trouble getting them to wake up. Yelling didn't work for Khai and I had to slap him on the cheeks to wake him up. They were both very upset at me but I told them the van was about to be on fire and they needed to get out now. They went to the side door with their blankets and were opening it when I woke up.

When I woke up, there was no alarm, no beeps, no phone call, no weird sense of sound. I have no idea why I had such an urgent need to wake up. But, a couple of minutes later, the phone rang and there was an Important Message Press Pound to Repeat.

... but what was the important message?!

I chose not to listen to the important message. Maybe my car warranty had expired?
