Salt: Angelina is beautiful as always. Sultry, yet kick-ass action. I'm also a strong believer in Liev Schreiber (costar) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (secondary costar). They play their roles well. The cast is a large part of the draw to this one though. There's good suspense, and a couple of minor twists, but you KNOW the twists will be there, even if you don't know exactly what they are. I rate this a 3 of 5 stars.

Inception: I like Ellen page. She's cute and sweet and witty. There's not really any of her wittiness in this movie. She's more of a recurring plot device than a character. Leo plays roughly the same type of character he played in Shutter Island. The cast is full of goodies, including Michael Caine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, and Ken Watanabe who all play their characters very convincingly. Conceptually, this movie kicks a$$. There's great cinematography without being over the top. There are multiple layers, adding complexity, but all of the layers are visually and auditorily different. This gives a good, subconscious queue as to what layer you're in. There's a lot of creative problem solving, and within its' universe, it's pretty consistent. I rate this 4.2 out of 5 stars.

Doesn't surprise me about Salt. I'm sure I'll see it eventually, but doubt I'll plop down the $10 to do so in the theater.

Interestingly, I'd rate Inception the same. Definitely NOT five stars as everyone seems to be claiming, but certainly more than 4. I said 4.5, but in reality, I felt more like it lies between 4.0 and 4.5. Maybe 4.2000127272727

Well I was going to go see Inception, but forget it now. My cut-off is 4.213763845. Sad face.

inception was amazing, worth every $$ for me :) Bring your thinking hat on

Maybe even 4.200528491

I want to see Inception. I also wanted to see Shutter Island, but haven't as yet. What would you rate that one?

And Salt, eh. I've already seen the one where she plays the preposterously gorgeous woman who runs, ducks, shoots, hides, chases, is chased, etc. etc. She does it well, but I think I've already seen it 3 or 4 times. I think Sam wants to see it, though.

Shutter Island was good. Not really sci-fi, but kind of brainmashing. I didn't have it all figured out until the end, which is good. I'd rate it maybe a 4 of 5.

And yah, I'm waiting for Angelina to come over to my house and expend some energy... But otherwise, Salt wasn't really special. There were no realizations and no major surprises.

Inception is much better than Shutter Island, but it really depends on what you like. If you want a more tripped out experience, watch inception. If you want a mindf*ck then watch shutter island.

I just saw Salt last night and was disappointed. Jolie was good in the opening scenes, but then it seemed like she started dozing off and phoned it in for the rest of the movie. Agreed that Schreiber and Ejiofor were good -- I kept waiting for them to come back onscreen. Overall, for me, it was lackluster action with poor fight choreography, weak story, and some good supporting acting: 2/5.

Ooops -- also, I absolutely loved Inception and would happily see it again. Hit me in the same pleasant ways that Usual Suspects did.

U.S. was nice. I haven't seen that for a while. Spacey is always good news for a movie.

I think I could see Inception 3-4 times without being worn out. I'm definitely anxious to see it again sober, and then maybe once less than sober.

yeah i saw inception 2x in a row!
