A pilot with license to carry in the cockpit was pointing out via YouTube the farce that is TSA protection.

In response, SIX OFFICERS were sent to his house to take his license. No specific charges, other than they are investigating what all they will charge him with.

In other words, they were pissed, and couldn't figure out what laws he actually broke, so they took his credentials out of spite.

Remember, the government isn't that asshole who cut you off on the freeway, nor the punk who set fire to the dumpster but never got caught, nor anyone else.

Every single agent and employee is above reproach and 100% honest, direct, trustworthy, and even tempered. As such, the government will keep you safe. They will always treat you fairly, and it's ok to give up rights and privacy, because it's for your safety.

People who have power will abuse it sometimes, and they tend to work for the government because that's where the power is. I don't see any point in blaming "the government" for the existence of such people.

I'm not blaming "the government." I'm using sarcasm to mock people who are happy to give up their freedoms and suffer a little inconvenience because "It makes things more safe."

In this specific case, you get one guy who can rain down a shitstorm on someone with dissenting opinion because none of the other guys in the group really want to rock the boat. I don't think that's ok, so I'm propagating my dissatisfaction with the situation.

"The government" is just a system and the people who execute the functions of that system. It's imperfect because people are imperfect. This is why systems of authority need checks and balances in place prior to being granted authority to abridge the freedoms of citizens.
